Are you your own worst enemy?

I hope you feasted on some wonderful BBQ yesterday.

And still have all 10 fingers and toes¬†ūüėú

Adam stopping by again…

Are you your own worst enemy, {first_name}?

I most certainly am.

We tend to doubt ourselves and question our decisions far too often.

Last week, I had a conversation with a guy over Facebook DMs.

My Facebook Reels caught his attention, and he reached out to me last week.

We’ve never chatted before.

He works a full-time job as a financial analyst with ZERO online experience.

Truly a wet behind the ears, beginner.

His dream is to build a business educating “young working class ages 25-40 who need/want an advisor/money coach to keep them stay consistent and disciplined with their money goals“.

He plans to do this with digital products — ebooks, courses, trainings, and a membership site.

I suggested he write an ebook solving a specific problem for a specific person.

After a few messages back and forth, I suggested an ebook on how he improved his credit score by XX points in XX months.

This quote comes to mind:

“A¬†journey¬†of a thousand miles¬†begins¬†with a¬†single step”

I see so many entrepreneurs with these audacious goals and these massive plans (not a bad thing, BTW), and they’re confused, overwhelmed and no clue¬†where to start.

I like to start from square #1 — Focus on getting your first few customers and build off that.

At 7:20 am on Sunday, he joined my 48 Hour Ebook Challenge.

On Sunday afternoon, he sent me this message;

‚Äč

He doubted himself.

He didn’t think it was possible to have written and published an ebook in 48 hours, as this was brand new territory for him.

A lot of people think this is an impossible task — like beating Joey Chestnut in a hotdog eating contest¬†ūüėú

I’ve had a dozen or so complete the challenge within 48 hours.

I’ve had a handful do it in under 24 hours.

I’ve had three people complete it in less than 10 hours!

I woke up this morning to this message;

‚Äč

He ended up uploading it to an alternative platform that I recommend.

He wrote and published his first ebook in 48 hours.

I happily clicked the link, whipped out my debit card, and became his first customer!

He’s never made one red hot cent online…until today!

On Sunday, he doubted himself.

Yet, he pushed through those doubts.

Mind you, this was done over a holiday weekend.

He now has a LIVE digital asset available for sale online.

More¬†importantly, he’s got a solution for people who struggle to get loans, pay higher interest rates & insurance premiums, as these are¬†all damaging side effects to a low credit score.

There are many lessons here, but the big takeaway is this:

You’re busy doubting yourself when you have people who rely on you AND are inspired by you.

They’re waiting for you to unleash your magic.

They’re¬†craving the help that only you can offer.

They’re suffering and need help.

And you’re lolly gagging around waiting, wishing, wanting AND WASTING your time, money and energy.

If you need a boost.

That swift kick in the digital ass, I got something for¬†you…

Take the 48 Hour Ebook Challenge (it’s a measly $17).

Write and publish your ebook in 48 hours.

And I will be your FIRST paying customer!

This is an incentive for you to take fast, imperfect action.

If you’re struggling with ideas, hit me up, and I can pull out an ebook from you. Usually within¬†a few minutes.

Like the guy above, I was able to give him an idea to write about.

And that’s exactly what he did.

Adam, I’m ready for the challenge!

REMINDER: Your ebook is the gateway not the final destination.

Meaning:

Your ebook acts as an entry point into your eco-system.

Some of your ebook customers will need more help¬†— more ebooks, courses, trainings, coaching, consulting, services, etc.

I am in talks with two of my customers now who need/want coaching.
