I’m writing this from the Austin airport.
My sister and I left Jersey early Friday morning, and rolled into Texas last night around 6 PM.
Three long days on the road.
But it flew by.
We laughed. We talked. We bonded. She cried.
And we blasted everything from The Doors and Eminem to Angels & Airwaves, old Kanye, Creed, Nickelback, Biggie, Bone Thugs, and just about everything in between.
It’s exactly what the both of us needed.
We had planned hotels stays (Knoxville & Hot Springs)
But the magic came in the moments we didn’t expect.
The stop off in Nashville to walk Broadway. I ate the best damn Philly cheesesteak from a food truck there.
We stopped at a botanicals garden in Hot Springs, per a recommendation from the gas station attendant (and saw this cool chapel in the woods)

And that’s the lesson:
Planning is important.
But don’t get so caught up in the plan that you miss what’s happening in the moment.
In business, just like on a road trip, the real growth happens between the milestones—
In the conversations.
The detours.
The songs you sing at the top of your lungs.
Stick to your vision, yes.
But don’t forget to look out the window and enjoy the ride.
YOU GOT THIS 🙌
In your corner,
Adam
