Let me take you back…
A trip down memory lane.
Do you remember when you learned how to ride a bike?
I do.
I was 7 years old.
We had just moved into a new house.
Our first house was on a busy street with no sidewalks, so I never had the chance to practice riding a bike.
This new house was on a cul-de-sac of 16 houses. Plenty of kids, and some younger than me that were riding with no training wheels.
I remember the feeling of jealousy and envy as they could do something I couldn’t.
I was embarrassed being the only 7-year-old in the neighborhood who couldn’t ride a bike.
I’d practice in the driveway of the house directly across the street from us.
Their driveway had a slight incline, so it was a good starting point.
I know I had a helmet on. There’s a good chance my Mom strapped on knee pads, elbow pads and a mouthguard.
I remember straddling my bike at the top of the driveway.
Looking down what seemed like Mt. Everest at the time.
My feet on both sides of the bike holding me up.
I put my left foot on the pedal.
Then I lifted my right foot.
I zoomed down the driveway and took a left turn.
The bike was gliding down the street.
I began to pedal.
I WAS DOING IT!!
I was riding my bike with no training wheels.
I don’t quite remember how I stopped the bike — likely into the bushes or someone’s front lawn 
Over the coming days, I continued practicing.
And like with anything, I got better the more I practiced it.
That first ride without the training wheels proved I could do it.
My confidence skyrocketed.
And it got me thinking…
It’s a lot like online business.
