I’ve seen things this week I can’t unsee…

Our house got hit with the stomach bug from hell.

It started with my son Saturday night.

Then Amanda got taken out yesterday.

And just when I thought maybe — just maybe — we were done…

My daughter went down last night.

And by “went down”….

I mean she didn’t make it to the bathroom in time.

She unloaded everything onto the bedroom carpet.

Like a scene from The Exorcist, but with pink unicorn pajamas.

I’ve been playing full-time nurse, and part time janitor.

It’s been a wild 36 hours.

I haven’t been super active on social.

I’ve yet to shower today (don’t judge).

As strange as this may sound…

I don’t feel like I’m falling behind.

This would have wrecked me a few years ago, as I felt like I always had to be “on”.

If I wasn’t either posting, pitching or planning, not much was happening.

Today it’s much different.

I can handle these chaotic curveballs life throws me

To play nurse for the family.

To clean up puke on the bedroom floor.

To not feel guilty for stepping away from my desk.

The last 36 hours reminded me…

Freedom isn’t just about fancy cars, or flashy vacations.

Sometimes, it’s not losing your shit when life throws a mess on the floor. Literally.

YOU GOT THIS 🙌

In your corner (with a bottle of Lysol),
