We wrapped up our last flag football game today. A 29-21 victory. We ended up with a 4-3 record on the season. Today’s game went back-and -forth. We’d score. They scored. We stopped them in the end. We could barely completely a handoff in early September. Now these boys are running plays, playing zone, and starting to communicate with each other. When I’m on the field coaching those boys… I’m 100% present. I don’t think about business, bills, or life’s bullshit. The field consumes me in the best way possible. It’s my happy place. Highly recommend it, Dads 🙌 A 4-3 season is ok. I was proud of what we built together. And that’s what many miss in business. We get so caught up chasing the numbers (money, followers, etc) that we can lose sight of actually enjoying the game/process. The real benefit to this game we all play online? The person we become on the journey. The tough days/weeks/months shape our character. It shows who we are, and what we’re made of. Whether it’s on the field, at the dinner table, or in your work…give it your all. Focus on winning the day today. Repeat tomorrow. And the next day. Hard not to win with that mindset.
