ABOUT YOUR AUTHOR!
Adam Dukes
In Noodles Wants to be a Landlady- Career Day At School, Landlord and Author Ming Dai sets out to teach and excite children to learn about different careers or opportunities they can explore when they get older. Ming is enthusiastic about learning personal finance skills and is passionate for others to learn as well.
‘Noodles’ was the name given to her by Aunt Gwen as a child. Ming learned to save from her father who always encouraged her to “pay herself first”. Her mother taught her to negotiate every purchase by asking vendors “is that your best price”, Aunt Viv taught her to build a pantry stocked with items for emergencies and Aunt Bea offered an opportunity for her to earn an allowance and to understand the importance of ownership.
This book is the third of a series of children’s books encouraging youth to understand the importance of ownership through acquiring assets. Ming is a social worker by training and graduate of Temple University. While landlording in Philadelphia, she was able to combine her two passions: 1) helping others 2)through renting real estate. Ming also is the author of three (3) other books: Real Estate Cash Flow in Layman’s Terms, Noodles Gets Allowance and Noodles Goes Thrifting
