After a 3 year hiatus… I finally stepped back in the gym. Three weeks ago, I finally changed that.
I only go when the kids are in school. I’m taking tomorrow off, as the kids don’t have school (my quads will thank me, since Friday is leg day) I’ve been sore, but it’s a good sore. It’s that feeling where every muscle reminds you that you’re doing something hard, but worth it? That be the one! I often times forget that discomfort can feel like progress. The soreness is a constant reminder that I keep the promises I make to myself. It reminds me of this whole online business thing we’re all doing. You’ll suck at the first few reps of anything. You’ll overthink it, doubt yourself, and maybe want to toss in the towel early. But, if you keep pushing through, you start feeling momentum. Momentum leads to confidence. I’ve found that “momentum” and “confidence” are like Siamese twins, they show up together. The game (entrepreneurship) we’re all playing is a game of confidence. Nothing more, nothing less. Getting back in the gym boosts my confidence. Which makes me a better Dad to my kids. A better man to people I interact with. A better entrepreneur for my people online. If you’ve been feeling stuck lately… Don’t chase motivation, chase momentum. Keep just one promise to yourself today. I don’t care how small it may seem. Repeat tomorrow, and the next day, and the next… That’s how confidence is built: one rep, one post, one promise at a time. YOU GOT THIS 🙌 In your corner,
