Let me explain…
Since September, I’m down 10 lbs on the scale.
I still eat way too many cheeseburgers/pizza/cookies
Intermittent fasting + Jiu-Jitsu is a lethal combination
Anywhoo….
I did this on purpose, as I was preparing myself.
We just started my favorite season of the year.
Not fall
Not college football bowl season.
Not the holiday season (as a single Dad, this time of year sucks)
I am talking about something better…
Egg Nog season!
Now, I said it years ago, and I will say it again;
It’s a travesty that egg nog is not served year round!
On Thanksgiving, right after dinner, my Mom pulled out the egg nog.
The kids like it, they just couldn’t remember.
My Mom poured them each a glass.
The love of egg nog must be in our genes, because they quickly asked for a re-fill.
My Mom sent us home the half gallon jug.
That didn’t last long!
We finished the jug on the drive home …kidding…or am I?
This morning, the kids & I ran up to the grocery store as I told them we’d get more before they had to go back to Mom’s house.
As we were pulling out of the grocery store, a classic song came on the radio.
One of my all time favorites.
Eminem’s Lose Yourself.
Being from Michigan, of course, I’m a huge Eminem fan.
In it, he raps;
Success is my only motherfuckin’ option—failure’s not
And that, is why he is uber successful.
That is the attitude you HAVE to have when building an online busienss.
That is the mindset.
A never-throw-in-the-towel-and-I-WILL-figure-this-shit-out-before-it-kills-me attitude!
I got started in this industry in October of 2010 — a lifetime ago.
Not once, have I ever considered throwing in the towel.
I’ve made many, MANY pivots over the years.
Admittedly, some were after 3 weeks of not seeing any progress.
Patience is something I’ve learned over the last decade (still learning)
However, the thought this isn’t going to work never once crossed my mind.
Delusional?
Some might say that.
I am stubborn.
I am determined.
Luckily, I am having fun along the way.
Not to say I don’t have bad days/weeks/months.
Success, whatever that means to you, is your ONLY option.
Not failing.
Not not trying.
Not waiting till next Monday, next month or next year.
Right now, is your time, TEST.
We only get one shot at life.
One chance.
