Who’s MY audience? Here’s the truth…

I  got a question from a customer this morning…

A question while reading all this: What is the target group you have?

Truth is… I’ve been asked this a bunch over the past few months.

So here’s my honest answer:

I don’t have a specific “avatar.”

No imaginary Steve, age 35, married with 2 kids, earning $75k/year.

I’ve helped a 17-year-old lady I met at Best Buy.

And a 72-year-old woman who emailed me out of the blue.

Men. Women. Ages 17 to 72.

From all over the world.

Different goals. Tastes. Dreams. Perspectives.

I share my life. My business. My lessons. My screw-ups. My wins.

I talk about my weighted vest, eating 10 eggs/day, 6 years booze-free, my obsession with egg nog, Oreo Blizzards and pumpkin pie… and yes, my 8th grade sense of humor too.

I talk about content wins, tech meltdowns, client messages that made me smile, customer emails (like this one) and lessons I learned the hard way.

Some people love it.

Some people hate it.

And that’s the point.

My content attracts the right ones… and repels the wrong ones.

This is done by design.

I don’t create content because I have to.

I create because I want to.

Some days it’s 3 IG Reels and 15 Stories.

Some days, nothing.

Some days I’m a Threads madman.

Other days, I post nothing (I have posts automated, so I do post, just not manually)

It’s been a decade of experimenting.

This is the rhythm that works for me.

I’m not saying it’s the way.

It’s just my way (queue Frank Sinatra)

If content creation feels heavy right now…

Try this approach:

Document your life. Be brutally honest. Share what you’d tell your best friend.

And maybe, just maybe…

You’ll start to feel the pressure lift.

YOU GOT THIS 🙌

In your corner,
Adam
