Why the Greedy Gurus are WRONG

You’ve likely noticed this, but want to bring it to your attention.

Adam stopping by again…

I’ve picked up the email pace the last few weeks.

You get an email at 6:17 am PST, or 4:17 pm PST.

I truly do enjoy writing and sharing my thoughts.

I honestly cannot pick a favorite: writing or video. They both bring me joy (I’m weird, I get it)

For the 27% of people who open my emails, I appreciate you.

I’m not committing to daily emails, but you’ll likely see me in your inbox 5x a week.

Not just weekdays, as I enjoy emailing weekends, too.

I did the daily email thing for a long time.

Looking back, I somewhat felt like I “mailed it in” just to check the box that I sent an email that day.

I dread that happening again.

Hence why I’m not committing to emailing every single day.

I’ve went back-and-forth on this.

On Tuesday, I received this message;

He appreciates the daily emails.

Another sign from that Man above?

God’s Plan.

Some of the Greedy Gurus will tell you not to “email too much”.

Or that “daily emails” is overkill.

Or you shouldn’t swear in emails (I’ve got that one a few times over the years. Happens more on social media though).

Or that you should “give value” 80% of the time, and pitch 20% of the time.

Or that you should do XYZ.

Run your own fucking race!

There ain’t rules to this game.

Some will claim there are “best practices”, which work for some and don’t work for others. There are so many variables — your market, message, offer, list size, etc.

I’ll be emailing daily-ish for the foreseeable future.

I’ll email when I have an insight to share.

Not just “mailing it in” like before.

I plan to start a weekly series where I share what’s on my mind — parenting, co-pareting, dating, life, new habits, nutrition, my relationship with my Mom, Dad and sister, and other “non-business” things. This is an idea that Justin Goff does masterfully, so it ain’t my idea. I always enjoy his Sunday morning “non-business” emails.

In every email I send, there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.

You’re free to click that link anytime you desire.

In fact, I encourage you to do so, if I’m not bringing you value. The last thing I want to do is waste your time.

The lesson in all this:

Color outside the lines.

Make your own damn rules.

Throw the box (you’re supposed to be in) out the damn window!

Your business.

Your rules.

You do what you feel is right.

Regardless of what the dipshits on YouTube say.
