I had en entrepreneur slide in my DMs last weekend.
She’s someone I follow, respect and have praised publically.
She messaged me asking about mentorship.
“What do you need help with?” I curiously asked her.
She sent a voice note yesterday.
“You’re so organized. You’ve got kids, a business, and you consistently pump out content.”
I chuckled.
Of all the words in the English dictionary, I’m not sure “organized” would be the word I’d use. 😜
Most days, I feel like I’m the captain of the “Hot Mess Express”
Full speed ahead. No brakes.
I listened to her voice note a couple of times, and then it hit me…
The stuff we beat ourselves up over…
The chaos, the overwhelm, the “WTF am I even doing?!?” feelings…
Our audience sees them as strengths.
They see:
- Our consistency
- Progress, not perfection
- Our courage to keep showing up
We often times miss the magic we’re creating.
We obsess over what’s not working, or compare ourselves to what others are doing.
Meanwhile, you have someone (likely several) people in your audience RIGHT NOW watching you, learning from you, and thinking to themselves:
“Wow! They continue to inspire me to keep going!”
