Yesterday cost me $66.58

I lost $66.58 yesterday.

Not on Crypto.

Not on gas station sushi.

Not on Reese’s peanut butter Easter eggs (that wouldn’t be a loss, that’s a WIN!)

None of those things.

I lost $66.58 on ads yesterday.

It’s true, I have 3-4 days each month that are in the red.

I know most wouldn’t admit that, but I like sharing the highs & lows in business.

Losing money on ads always feels like stepping on a Lego at 2 am.

Here’s the thing with ads:

Some days, the ROI isn’t dollars.

It’s data.

It’s the “don’t do THAT again” wisdom you learn by DOING/TRYING things.

Too many treat ads like a slot machine.

Pull the lever, pray for a jackpot.

This is business, not Vegas.

Some days I wake up to $300+ in sales.

Some days I get handed a $66 loss with a side of humble pie.

But the winners?

They keep trying different things.

They keep testing weird ideas.

They look at things week-by-week, and not stress over the day-to-day.

Here’s how I see it:

Losses = Tuition.

Experience is an investment, and it doesn’t always pay the same day.

But it COMPOUNDS over time.

Yesterday stung.

Today has been much better.

Tomorrow I’ll test something else, and it might be a shit show.

And it might pay off handsomely.

Fast imperfect action beats perfect planning every day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

Adam
