The 40/40 Plan is a scam

They sell you the 40/40 plan.

Work 40 hours/week for 40 years.

They call it “normal”.

Go to college. Get a degree. Get a job. Stick it out. Retire when your knees don’t work.

I call it a “trap”.

The real cost of the 40/40 plan isn’t just your time. It’s the loss of presence, freedom and flexibility.

• Presence with your kids, like the ability to eat lunch daily with them during summer vacation
• Freedom to escape to Universal Studios on a Tuesday
• Flexibility to take 2-3 walks throughout the day wearing a weighted vest

I prefer the 20/20 plan:

Earn $20k per month, working less than 20 hours a week.

It’s not totally passive income.

It’s not as easy as the Greedy Gurus claim it is.

But it is possible.

And it’s more doable than people think.

Here’s what the plan looks like for me:

• I share stories on social that resonate with real people
• I send daily emails (usually takes about 15 minutes)
• I run simple ads that are working for me 24/7/365
• I sell “silly” PDFs that solve specific problems

That’s it.

No cold DMs.

No strategy sessions.

No complex funnels with 87 steps and 13 upsells.

Just a repeatable process that helps people and gets paid.

It all started with a single decision:

To stop following the plan, I was sold.

And start following the one I wrote myself.

You’re not lazy. You’re not unmotivated.

You’re just following a plan that was never designed for freedom. Time to switch tracks.
